A Call to Christians and Patriots                      by Aaron D. Hancock

As I write to you today I am preparing for two seemingly certainties.  One of which, is the demise of America as we know it.  The second, is my likely detainment and torture, or my death.  I do not fear what is coming.  I am getting ready for both eventualities as both are shortly on the horizon.  There may be nothing that can stop either from taking place, but as a Christian and an American patriot I am compelled to prepare for both.  I do not see these things because I have some special insight or some unique ability to see the future.  I simply have studied history and see that history always repeats itself if we do not learn from our past mistakes as a people.  Unfortunately mankind has a short memory and never learns from our past mistakes.  We write them down and record them for future generations, and the ghosts of our past failures scream for us to hear them and heed their warnings but we fail to take appropriate and necessary actions to prevent repeating them.  We, as a species, are doomed to repeat our past failures as we seem to lack the capability of long-term memory and are unable to visualize the big picture.

I wish that this were not so, but due to our lust for entertainment, distractions, our gluttony and our utter lack of knowledge we are unable to change our fate.  We have the ability to do so, but we lack the will or proper motivation.  We do not care that our children, and our children’s children will suffer if we do nothing.  We are only concerned with our own finances, homes, cars, and other “worthless” things.  I say worthless, because when circumstances change it will no longer matter what kind of car we drove or how many numbers we had on a piece of paper the bank gave us or how shiny our neat pretty stuff was.  One day, all that will mean nothing, and that day is approaching sooner than we care to recognize.  To our detriment, most people can’t see past the box of wires and pixels they sit in front of every evening and can’t fathom reality because current reality is not pretty.  That box we worship spoon-feeds us lies, propaganda and half-truths in order to get us to be complicit with further greed, wickedness, murder and genocide.  As both Americans and Christians we are held to a higher standard.

Since when do we believe that murdering women and children in another country is for our protection and security?  Since when is lying and falsifying evidence to go to war acceptable and reasonable?  Since when is being placated by entertainment an excuse for a lack of knowledge?  How is being distracted by Hollywood or being confused by ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS or CNN an excuse for our complicity in wicked and sinful behavior?  Did the excuse that, “we didn’t know,” work for the German people at the end of the Nazi regime?  Will it work when we stand before our Maker and Creator one day as our society grows more and more wicked?  I, for one, do not believe it will and that is why I am concerned and why I feel compelled to speak out against these evil and sinful behaviors.  These are not the actions or thoughts of “conservative” or “Christian” leaders or citizens.  One day we shall be judged according to our works, not our political affiliation, best intentions, or on what we thought or believed (Rev. 20:12-13).  If we supported the wicked, funded murderers, and aided in carrying out wickedness we will be judged accordingly.  A lack of knowledge will not be an acceptable excuse for our compliance in wickedness and sin, nor will the excuse of protecting our earthly temporary interests.

We must stand and resist evil.  We must call wickedness, corruption, greed and murder what they are; sins.  This is our vital hour when our responsibility as both Christians and Americans must supercede our natural instincts to look out for ourselves.  We must be more concerned with the well-being and salvation of others than the good fortunes of ourselves, even if others persecute and oppress us.  Persecution and suffering is the lot of those who serve the Almighty, and a lack of such for the Christian should tell us we are not doing our jobs.  When we do the will of our Father, we are told in the Scriptures that we will indeed suffer.  We must follow Paul’s example and joy in our suffering for Christ’s sake and in suffering for what is right.  The apostles showed the ultimate willingness to sacrifice for what is right and what is just and what is true, and if we are not willing to do the same, are we truly worthy to wear the name of a Christian?

If I am taken to one of the more than 600 FEMA detention camps in this country, then glory to God, I’ll keep speaking truth there.  If I am renditioned to a foreign land and tortured for disagreeing with wicked policies that advocate murder, genocide or torture then glory to my Creator who allowed me to live a happy, fulfilling life and suffer for His sake.  If I am “suicided” as others have been for attempting to speak the truth then so be it, God will be glorified through it.  If I am held without trial, without charges, and without having committed a crime, then that is my lot as a child of His.  No matter what fate awaits me, I will rejoice and praise Him as Paul did even while he sat in prison.  As beings of free choice, no one can take these God given rights from us.  We are His, and no matter our fate, we must face whatever comes our way with confidence and faith.
