9/11 as a Catalyst Event by Aaron D. Hancock
This article is written as an
analysis from my personal perspective (which is neither that of a purported
expert nor a scholar) but from a student of history (who has majored in history
and taken enough history credit hours at the university level to be a history
major other than a handful of required classes to get the actual degree).
I see the correlations with historical events between 9/11 and other
massive historical catalyst events. Pearl
Harbor, the Reichstag fire, the now admitted staged Gulf of Tonkin incident, the
burning of Rome, and other various events link eerily similar to 9/11 in scope
and consequences of changing the course of human history.
This event, we are told, changed everything.
In reality, what did it change? Have
most Americans been affected personally by terrorism other than by government
regulations restricting freedoms in order to “protect” us from it?
Have you been attacked by these Islamic boogiemen or have your rights,
rather, been attacked by the government which is sworn to uphold them?
I purport that is just the case, the only attack we, as average Americans have come under, is attack from our own leaders and government against our freedoms, rights and the principles upon which our nation was founded. Our lives are too short, and our freedoms far too precious to surrender them for any false threat. If we surrender them, do you really think we’ll ever get them back without massive resistance from our power hungry leaders? Do you really believe our leaders have our best interests in mind or that of their corporate sponsors and controllers? Did you give more money to Mr. Bush for his election campaign or did Halliburton and Enron? Which do you believe he’s more likely to do favors for and listen to? This is the reality of the flawed political system under which we live today. We must effect change and we must return to the standards upon which this nation was founded or we will wither away and die like all of the other major world powers who came before us. We must defend our borders and send the invading illegal immigrants back from whence they came and tell them, “sorry, but if you want to come here, don’t break the law to do so, apply legally like your friends and neighbors have.” Then, and only then, can we have hope of repairing our nation and making our homeland free once again.
Thousands have died to protect these freedoms you people are willing to let slip away for fear of harm by “terrorists.” I call those who are willing to do so cowards! We must stand for our rights or we stand for nothing at all, and our lives mean nothing. We simply work as a cog in the great machine that is the consumer system unless we stand up for what is right and what is true and what is pure! Those who came before us scream from their graves for us to stand against tyranny, oppression and greed but if we fail to hear them, their cries, sacrifices, and deaths mean nothing in the big picture. If we allow others to destroy the beautiful nation and freedom they fought and died to hand down to us, then we count their sacrifices as worthless and despise what they stood for… freedom. Certainly you can understand and comprehend that we are simply looked at as consumers by our leaders and by the huge multi-national corporations which run our lives daily. To prove how little say we have, the majority of Americans voted for Al Gore, yet Bush was elected. Exit polls showed Bush was losing the election, yet he won. How is this the case unless our votes were altered, twisted and manipulated? Not that I’m implying Gore would have changed anything, he is like the other career politicians. Corporate controlled.
Exit polls can change things, as in this next election, when we go vote in droves and if those who the exit polls clearly show won, do not win, then we have clear evidence of vote fraud! This is why the media is disavowing the relevance of exit polls; they are the only current means of proving election/vote fraud. If the votes don’t match exit poll statistics then there is a statistical anomaly which MUST then be dealt with. They do not let us see our votes anymore and there are no paper records of them! Everything is an electronic number that can be altered, changed or simply deleted at the whim of a computer geek. Is this freedom? Is this democracy? If so, I want no part of this lie of rule by the people. Rule by the people occurs when our votes count, we know they count; they verifiably count, and are able to be documented and verified without question. Diebold makes most of the ATM machines we use across this nation daily which don’t lose a single penny per transaction, but investigations and even their own auditing records show votes missing or counted incorrectly. Did your vote count last election or was it one of the “lost votes?” In some cases as many as one in ten votes was altered to register for Mr. Bush in a local county near me. Is this the way a democracy works? Don’t get me wrong, voting is important as I explained above, voting is vital! We just must make sure that our votes count so that we can regain control of our nation from the corporate world who sponsors and runs the candidates. If they are forced to answer to the voters, then they will be forced to do the will of the people and work for our best interests!
9/11 helped shape the current world we live in, and the fear which encompasses us today. Americans are not a frightened people by nature! Our ancestors crossed dangerous waters risking their lives and that of their descendants (you and I) to come here. They sacrificed worldly possessions, homes, estates, or in some cases came here as indentured slaves or outright slaves in order to, one day, have the hope of a promised freedom. Will you give that away because you’re scared a terrorist might kill you or someone you know and love? Isn’t what came before us just as important as the here and now? Isn’t the future worth MORE than the here and now safety and security we might gain by sacrificing what truly matters; freedom? If our children and future generations cannot live free, then have we done our jobs as American citizens or have we fallen asleep at the wheel? And one day, will they not hold us accountable for the freedoms we gave up and freely surrendered for a temporary promise of safety and security? We run this nation, our tax dollars and our sweat and tears toiling and working make this nation function, so do we not also deserve a say in its direction and future? Do we not also owe those who will come after us to stand like our fathers and grandfathers and great grandfathers did against tyranny and oppression?
Freedom isn’t just something that is inherited and it isn’t just a word, we must protect it, defend it, and die for it if necessary. Freedom is as important as the breath you just took, and the next one you will take. Without it, you are someone’s slave, someone’s property, and someone’s tool of dominance. Our leaders wish to use us for cannon fodder overseas in wars of aggression and empire building. They wish to turn worshipers of Islam into radicals and push them towards violence just as they wish to turn Christians into worshipers of Israel, violence, and intolerance. This is not the Muslim’s natural intent, nor is it the life of a Christian but they, like we ourselves, have been hijacked. Many on both sides of this “long war” see this fact and do not struggle against each other, but rather against the powers which push us to fight against one another. While our beliefs may differ, our common faith in one supreme God and one Creator do not. We are not forced, by our beliefs, to fight one another, but rather are instructed to discuss and reason with one another to come to a more complete understanding of truth. We are called to rise above the wickedness and evil and lies that surround us and are to look for better things. We are called to live in the light and in the truth rather than in lies and in the darkness. Most Americans don’t know basic geography let alone understand complex world affairs. How then can they expect to understand, to realize when they are and aren’t being lied to by their governments and leaders? We must wake up, and we must take a stand for the things which matter and for the things which are right and true and just. If we don’t, we’re worse than those who work for evil… we simply are the sheep who obey and do their will mindlessly.
